PostSubject: Would Google Chrome Operating system Outwit Microsoft's Shine.   Sat Oct 15, 2011 4:49 pm

On July 7, 2009, Google Inc has introduced the Google Chrome Operating-system project to develop a light computer computer itself devoted for the world wide web.

The new Operating System will be based on Google's Chrome web browser and the Linux kernel. Initially, it will target netbooks and could be released during the second half of 2010. It will run on systems by using either x86 or UPPER EXTREMITY processors.

The company has stated how the Google Chrome Operating System project will be an open source by your end of 2009. Although, it is based to the Linux kernel, it will use "a new windowing system". The Chrome Operating System is something that is targeted at users who spend most of their time on the Internet and was compiled to run on computers from netbooks to desktop desktops.

Operating System Partners
Google is working with several companies to develop devices to the new Chrome Operating Technique, including Hewlett-Packard and Acer. The list also includes Lenovo not to mention Asus, but interestingly Dell is out. However, Dell has announced to tests the upcoming operating system, but did not invest for Linux-based OS items in future.

Among the cell phone chip developers, Google offers formed a nexus with the help of Qualcomm, Texas Instruments not to mention Freescale Semiconductor. Although, Intel was not among the partner-companies early on declered, but the chip producer has claimed that it has been working with Google on its upcoming operating system.
Google Operating System: Challenge for Microsoft & Intel
Google抯 entry into the market could represent your threat to Intel not to mention x86. Various analysts predict that Intel抯 dominance within the PC market has blamed on the lack of viable substitute products pertaining to Microsoft抯 Office applications. While Linux and various OS have challenged Windows in the past and recently in netbook computers, these attempts have partially failed because of the lack of adequate productivity software which may be acceptable and familiar in order to consumers.
For Intel, the success of new OS could lead to modest market share the loss, as the chip maker could be forced to compete with a range of new, low-cost entrants which are running on less margins as compared to Intel.

The new OS is great news for all computer visitors. It certainly helps through loosening Microsoft抯 grip on the PC market and provides lower prices, higher dependability and smarter design.

The new OS announcement was carefully calculated through the search giant:
? Timing: Note the 12-18 month delivery, aims MS抯 strategic pre-announcements in the market.
? Pricing: It抯 free, as in open-source. But MS will have to fight for every buck from netbook makers.
? Target: The new OS intends developers, as it increases the largest user base from any platform.
? Google aims better computer like a big Smartphone and adornment small netbooks to full-size computer systems, which the business enterprise is ceding the server OS market to MS and even Linux.

In a Television interview, Google CEO Eric Schmidt claimed that the company's new Chrome Operating-system would eventually be on "millions" of desktops and might eventually take users away from Microsoft Windows. Schmidt also added, "It's certainly also possible that Microsoft will change its strategy to home address that. "
